Minute's silence today

In memory of those who lost their lives in the senseless and horrific attack in Manchester we will be joining a national minute's silence today at 11am.

A national minute’s silence will be held at 11am on Thursday 25 May in remembrance of those who lost their lives and all others that were affected by the attack in Manchester on Monday.

As a University we are committed to the acquisition of knowledge, for tolerance, for reason, for progress, and the search for truth. This atrocity goes against everything we stand for as an institution and as members of an academic community.

We would like to invite students and staff to join with the minute's silence as a show of solidarity with the victims and the people of Manchester to show that we stand together united against hatred.

You can choose to observe this silence with quiet reflection, or gather outside the Fielding Johnson Building main entrance. The flag on the Fielding Johnson Building will be flown at half-mast today.
