This summer the UK will decide on its future in Europe, and if you want to have your say you need to make sure you are registered to vote. Deadline extended until Thursday 9 June.

Update: The deadline for registering to vote in the EU referendum has been extended until midnight Thursday 9 June 2016.

With the referendum on Britain’s membership of the EU set for Thursday 23 June, it’s vitally important that you get your voice heard.

Leicester City Council has been writing to all Leicester households asking whether the information that appears on the electoral register for those living at the address is correct.

It is your responsibility to provide this information and if you’ve received a letter already, please act on it by giving your name, date of birth and national insurance number on the online system.

Every household in Leicester must respond, even if you know you are already registered (UK students are able to register at both their permanent home address and their temporary term-time address, so that even if you’ve gone home for the summer, you can still cast your vote).

Time is running out, so don’t lose your voice and register to vote today!
