Universities Week (13-19 June 2011): how to get involved
- Universities Week is a national campaign being coordinated by UUK and the Universities Marketing Forum to promote the value of higher education to the public during the week commencing Monday 13 June 2011. Each day will have a different theme exploring the contribution that universities make to their local and national economies and communities.

Project seeks case studies of international students
- The Centre for Sociology, Anthropology and Politics (C-SAP), part of the Higher Education Academy, is looking for case studies of international undergraduate and postgraduate students who are studying (or have recently studied) at a UK higher education institution. The key focus of this project is to provide an opportunity for students to reflect upon their recent experiences of learning in HE. The focus of the case study could be on assessment, feedback, group working or working independently. They are also interested in students' experiences of how they develop the skills for note taking, reading, reflective learning and avoiding plagiarism.

Two-year law degree for graduates
- Have you considered a career in law? The University of Leicester School of Law is one of a just a handful of universities that offers a fast track two-year LLB law degree for graduates. In the recent Guardian rankings, we were placed 15th out of 95 Law Schools.

Roadworks affecting University Road starting Monday 4 July
- From Monday 4 July 2011, University Road will become one-way from London Road towards Welford Road whilst the City Council lay new pipes. The initial section of these works takes place in the stretch of road from the University’s Gate 2 (Mayor's Walk) to Lancaster Road. University Road will remain open in both directions between Welford Road and Mayor's Walk.
