- Debt and issues relating to funding and finance are big concerns for many taught postgraduates. It is a complex area and one which is currently being looked at carefully following the Browne Review (PDF) into higher education funding. The University keen to hear what postgraduates themselves think and, in particular, to understand what expectations they have with regards to fees, funding and debt.

Telephone Directory update: changes to the Phone Directory Search Facility

Application open for 2011 Festival of Postgraduate Research
- For the seventh successive year the University of Leicester will hold a one-day exhibition of postgraduate research, on Thursday 16 June 2011. Deadline for application 25 February 2011.

Fairtrade Fortnight: 28 February - 13 March 2011
- The University and Students’ Union will be once again coming together to celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight between the dates of 28 February to 13 March 2011. This year Fairtrade Fortnight is asking everyone to ‘Show Off Your Label’.

New name for lecture theatre
- The 'New Lecture Theatre' has been officially renamed the 'Peter Williams Lecture Theatre', although the new signs might not be in place yet.

New Library resources for 2011 - 1,143 journals added
- These include 443 titles from the JSTOR Arts and Sciences V, VI and VII collections; 167 bioscience titles via BioOne; 47 titles through Geoscience World; 59 titles from Berkeley Press; 60 titles in the Maney History and Humanities Collection; 326 literature journals through LION (Literature Online); three additional Nature titles and a site licence to the New England Journal of Medicine. In addition 45 individual titles prioritised by the four Colleges from their journal wish lists have been purchased.
