Academic nominated for British Muslim Award

Dr Kal Karim has been shortlisted in the Science and Engineering Category.

The British Muslim Awards take place annually and celebrate the contributions of Muslim people to all aspects of UK life. Dr Karim, a lecturer and researcher in the University’s Department of Chemistry and member of the Leicester Biotechnology Group has been nominated by public ballot for the award and will discover if he has won at a ceremony to be held at The Athena on Wednesday 25 January.

On receiving his nomination, Dr Karim said: “I am delighted to have been nominated for such a prestigious award and look forward to meeting all the talented finalists”.
