Data Management Support for Researchers

Prof K Schurer

"What would you do if you lost your research data tomorrow? Research Data Management isn't principally about complying with policy - at heart it means helping you to complete your research, share the results, and allow you to get credit for what you have done."

Professor Kevin Schurer, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Research and Enterprise)

Research Data Management (RDM) is not a single issue, it presents many challenges and raises many questions throughout the research lifecycle, from the moment an idea forms to the completion of research, publication, and subsequent use of findings to inform sharing of ideas and stimulate new research.

The Research Data Management website follows that lifecycle - around the themes of Create, Organise, Keep and Find and Share - providing advice and support, pointing to many internal and external resources. It aims to reflect the constantly changing research data context, to allow you as a researcher to dip into the site to easily find assistance as and when you need it.
