Due to work needed to fix a leak on the main water pipe running through campus we will lose hot water to some campus buildings

The Leicester District Energy Company (managed by ENGIE) have identified a leak on the main water pipe through the district which runs through central campus. They need to carry out emergency works outside the Computer Centre Building which will mean an interruption to the supply of hot water to a number of buildings on campus.

The works will begin on Saturday 16 September after the open day. During the works the car parking bays near the Computer Centre Building entrance (off Mayors Walk) will be out of action.

There will also be loss of hot water to the Charles Wilson, Physics, Attenborough, Fielding Johnson and Engineering buildings during this period.

We are investigating ways to support critical hot water systems during the works.
