Book your place for the first University of Leicester Equality and Diversity Summit, aimed at ensuring we become a more equal, diverse and inclusive place to work and study.

We would like to invite you to attend our first Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Summit which is due to be held at Stamford Court on 29 March 2017, 1pm-4pm (lunch will be provided from 12.15pm-1pm).

This event is an opportunity for us to celebrate our achievements and network with colleagues, but more importantly to focus on shaping our future activity to ensure we achieve our aspiration of being a more equal, diverse and inclusive place to work and study.

Following an introduction from our President and Vice-Chancellor Professor Paul Boyle, we will present challenges identified in our own staff and student data, identifying what we need to do to ‘raise our game’. Collectively we will agree a road map of priorities for the coming years on which to base our activity.

We welcome your participation in shaping our progress towards equality, diversity and inclusion at Leicester. We want to develop and implement policies and systems that challenge stereotypes across all aspects of our work to develop an environment that has diversity, equality and inclusion at its core. We hope that such a culture will benefit everyone in the University.

We look forward to your involvement in shaping a more equal, diverse and inclusive future by your participation at our Summit. If you would like to attend please email equalities@le.ac.uk by Monday 20 March with confirmation of your attendance including whether you will be joining us for lunch along with any dietary requirements.
