The University of Leicester and the School of Management are proud to support this year’s An Indian Summer festival, Leicester’s annual festival that gives people of all backgrounds and ages the chance to experience the rich and varied culture of India.

The festival takes place this weekend, June 16 and 17, in the Cultural Quarter. For those that haven’t been before, prepare to witness an enthralling mixture of film, food, music, dance, literature, talks, games, workshops, activities and exhibitions.

Spread over multiple venues, all celebrating different aspects of India – and India’s relationship with the UK – An Indian Summer is an educational, entertaining, thrilling, fascinating and, most of all, fun weekend for visitors of all ages and backgrounds.

It is a fully immersive experience – involving local, national and international talent – along with all the resources of Leicester’s astounding Cultural Quarter venues – Phoenix Square, Curve, Manhattan 34, LCB Depot and many more -  to bring India to Leicester in the most complete way possible.

No matter what your tastes or interests, “An Indian Summer 2012” has something you for you. It is a truly unique event that offers the best of India and the best of Leicester.
