ROI (Return on Investment) of learning & development

We have extensive experience with major UK and international organisations in the measurement and assessment of business impact and ROI from training.

  • The University co-developed and accredited the graduate Diamond Professional Programme (DPP) with the De Beers Group.  De Beers has acknowledged tangible impact on its global talent pool utilising the measurement process implemented by the Leading Edge.

The ROI study has enabled our global management teams to differentiate the successful candidates and manage their expectations for future roles and promotions in the company.

  • We have shown that middle and senior managers from the UK Lloyd Fraser Logistics Group are creating significant operational and strategic financial value-add during and after completion of Diploma and MBA management programmes at Leicester with an exceptional ROI of 800%; for every £1 invested in management training, managers have returned £9 of value.

We have evidenced improvements in skill levels directly linked to the training.  With the help of the University we have been able to estimate the financial value of the training over the next year by determining the level of impact on business measures that are directly influenced by the learners.

Group HR Director, Lloyd Fraser Group

  • We have demonstrated for Autoglass Ltd a 98% return on its investment in the IMI (Institute of Motor Industry) accredited technician training programme in the form of increased staff retention and improved cost and productivity management. For every £1 invested Autoglass has returned £2 of value.
  • We have demonstrated for Halfords Autocentres that enhanced gross profit and staff retention can be attributed to those employees undertaking its IMI accredited training programme.
  • We have demonstrated for the Mercedes-Benz UK after-sales dealer network that increases in customer service measures such as customer retention and customer satisfaction can be put down to the uptake in its IMI accredited customer service training programme.
