Abstract

This OER is drawn from a Masters-level online course and it aims to develop participant's knowledge of the key approaches to the Presidency: to include Wildavsky's Two Presidencies thesis, Schlesinger's Imperial Presidency, and the work of Richard Neustadt and Fred Greenstein.

Provision of an understanding of the foreign policy direction of each presidency under consideration. In other words, to critically analyse different perspectives that address the presidency in the appropriate historical context.
