Visiting Lecturers

Any academic institution with more than five students accepted onto the summer school may choose to nominate one of its academic staff to apply as a Visiting Lecturer on the course. Visiting Lecturers will be responsible for contributing 2 contact hours to the programme on a topic relevant to the course and approved by the Course Leaders.

To facilitate this opportunity, CSI Leicester 2012 will offer a contribution towards travel costs and accommodation in Leicester. Travel support will be up to £500 for approved Visiting Lecturers from North American institutions and up to £300 for those from European institutions; in both cases, these payments will be reimbursed against original receipts. In addition, Visiting Lecturers will be offered up to 5 nights University accommodation or a total of £100 towards alternative accommodation.

Applications for Visiting Lecturers for the 2012 course will comprise an academic CV and an abstract for the proposed lecture topic(s) (100-150 words).
