Enhancing Research Practice Award
The Enhancing Research Practice Award (ERPA) is designed to meet the needs of staff wishing to take more structured opportunities for continued professional development in research-based activities.
Enhancing Research Practice Award Overview
The Enhancing Research Practice programme has been recognised by the Staff and Educational Development Association (SEDA) and is one of the first in the country to gain this national accreditation. It consists of two elements - core workshops and training pathways – and is intended to be flexible to meet the diverse needs of participants. Wherever possible, there are choices of workshops available within both elements.
Participants will attend six core workshops. In addition, they will follow a range of workshops within a specialised research training pathway. The choice of pathways are teaching, writing and presenting. Learning will also be supported through informal get-togethers to share experiences.
Participants my take two or three semesters to complete the course depending on their other work commitments. All the workshops are self-contained and, with the exception of the ‘core’ session introducing the course, can be taken in any order.
