Developing Global Approaches to Practice continued professional development programme
The pilot programme commenced in January 2009 and the seven participants involved completed in June 2009. As part of their professional development, participants devised projects
which engaged with Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). These included optimising support for international and mature postgraduate students to help them improve their academic skills; developing induction processes for Chinese students at the Maths department; and exploring good practice for e-presentations for this programme.
Course overview
This programme is suitable for all staff and is designed to encourage participants to engage with issues of Education for Sustainable Development. In small teams, participants explore how they can incorporate and develop an aspect of this theme into their work practice.

On successful completion of the programme and the assessment, participants will be eligible for the Staff and Educational Development Association (SEDA) Responding to Change in Higher Education Award.
