As well as offering the flexibility of short workshops and on-line learning, Staff Development offer an opportunity to gain a nationally recognised management award at two levels. |
Each Award covers subjects essential for all managers at this level. These Awards can form part of your Personal Development Plan which may also include attendance at other learning activities. |
ILM Awards in Team Leading (Level 2)
We offer an Award in Team Leading, a 3½ day programme recognised by the Institute of Leadership and Management, for any staff who lead, or aspire to lead, a small team and have had little or no training in supervisory skills. It is a practical programme and participants will quickly be able to apply their learning to the workplace. To achieve the Award participants must complete three pieces of assessed work.

ILM Award in First Line Management (Level 3)
This ILM Award is a 4 day programme recognised by the Institute of Leadership and Management, for staff who manage, or aspire to manage, a team. It is likely that staff attending this programme will have some experience of management and/or some training in management skills. To achieve the Award participants must complete three pieces of assessed work.
SEDA Developing Leaders Award
We are currently applying to SEDA (Staff and Educational Developers Association) for accreditation for this Award. As soon as we have gained this further details will be available.
