Leadership at Leicester
Whether you are a first line or middle manager you can develop your leadership and management skills at Leicester.
Management and Leadership Workshops
We offer short workshops which can be attended on a ‘stand alone’ basis or can be grouped together to form a nationally recognised qualification.
The workshops are targeted at staff with management and leadership roles with different levels of experience and skills.
Introduction to LeadershipThese workshops are ideal for anyone who is new to managing staff or may have been in a junior management position for some time, but has had little, or no, formal training in management techniques. These workshops might also be suitable for people who aspire to be in a leadership position. |
|---|
Leading and Managing EffectivelyThese workshops are for managers who have recently taken on a wider role and may be responsible for supervisors/team leaders. However managers who have been in a role at this level for some time, but may have little or no formal management training will benefit from attending. |
Executive Leadership and ManagementThese workshops are for staff in more senior management positions who wish to enhance their management and/or leadership skills. |
All workshops are:
- Relevant to staff from any discipline within the University
- Open to all staff in a management/leadership role
- Identified by colour according to skill/experience level
- ‘Stand alone’ or can be part of a wider programme
- Able to lead to an accredited ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) qualification at either Award or Certificate level.
