Team Events/Away Days

Learning and Development Advisers can work with you to plan your team events.  Whether you want to discuss ideas or need help with planning and facilitating the event contact either Gretel Stonebridge grs6@le.ac.uk or Helen Robinson hmc10@le.ac.uk who will be happy to work with you to make your event a success.

Individual Learning

We are now offering Individual Learning Sessions where you will have the opportunity to work with an appropriate Learning and Development Adviser to develop/refresh individual skills.  This might be more appropriate than attending a full workshop.  The Individual Learning Sessions will be for a maximum of 2 hours and can be arranged at a time to suit you.

Some areas where we feel individuals could benefit from individual learning are:

• Help with preparing a presentation
• Developing assertiveness skills
• Developing confidence
• Personal organisation and time management
• Delegation skills
• Developing effective questioning skills
• Developing coaching skills
• Having ‘difficult’ conversations

This list is not exhaustive and there are likely to be other areas where we can work with you on an individual basis.

Guided IT Learning

If you need help with specific queries about Microsoft Office applications, then come along to a Guided IT Learning Session.  An experienced IT Trainer will be available to personally help and assist you with your IT specific queries. 

Academic Practice Unit

The Academic Practice Unit supports the initial and continuing professional development of staff engaged in teaching, research and academic leadership activities across the University. The Unit works with colleges, departments and individuals for bespoke professional development.
