Programme of Skills Workshops for the Professional Researcher |

This is a programme of workshops primarily designed to enhance the skills of postdoctoral and early career researchers, in line with the Research Councils’ Joint Skills Statement. The workshops, presented by the Academic Practice Unit, have developed in response to training requests from research staff, and continue to evolve as their needs develop. |

The programme consists of a series of both, general and specific IT and research skills developed by the Academic Practice Unit in conjunction with the Staff Development Centre and IT Services. The programme is delivered by a range of internal and external workshop facilitators, with administrative support provided by the Staff Development Centre. |

Whilst the Skills for the Professional Researcher programme is primarily aimed at University of Leicester research staff, we recognise that a number of these workshops may be equally important and relevant for doctoral candidates, and open sessions up for them as and when places are still available on a course. These sessions are free of charge.
