Take Time to Learn: Microsoft Outlook 2007

Information

Course description

Course Overview

Excellent course - I thought I knew a reasonable amount about Outlook but there is so much to learn!"

The Take Time to Learn: Microsoft Outlook 2007 workshop starts with an overview of the learning materials available on Microsoft Outlook including advice on how to access and use them.  The majority of the workshop is spent working at your own pace on a set of objectives agreed with the facilitator, using a variety learning materials or your own Outlook folders.  One or more facilitators will be on hand throughout the session to provide help and guidance as required.

If participants share similar learning objectives, the workshop may take on a shared approach, encouraging peer-to-peer supported learning, practice and collaborative problem solving.

Date(s)

There are no further dates scheduled at present.

We also offer training as a Guided IT Learning Session

What can I expect to cover?

You can choose to cover any aspect of Outlook.  You may wish to find your way around Outlook 2007, become more efficient at managing your emails, use Calendar to schedule your appointments and invite others to meetings, get organised with Tasks, manage your Contacts and create Distribution Lists or learn how to delegate access rights to your colleagues.

What will I get out of this course?
I have found it useful learning how to use the calendar, create distribution lists and how to use folders to manage my emails. This will speed up the time it takes me to use Microsoft Outlook."

This course gives you the time to learn away from your desk at your own pace.  You are able to select the topics which will be most useful to you and are given the opportunity to try them out and apply them to your own work during the course.

Who is it for?

As delegates will be working on their own objectives it is suitable for anyone from a complete beginner through to those already experienced in Outlook 2007 and wishing to develop their skills.

The course is set at a pace that is suitable to people who are not familiar with outlook. There was no sense of being rushed, which was nice."
Participant preparation needed?

As this course is self-directed you will need to have identified a skill which you want to develop or a part of Outlook which you would like to learn more about.
Please ensure this information is provided on the booking sheet in advance so that we can ensure that the course takes account of your needs.
