Overview

Would you like to be able to find your way around the Blackboard Discussion Board more easily?  Do you need to learn how to create your own forums and threads? 

This online course covers these areas and will also give you some useful tips for making the most of online discussions.  You will be able to practice using discussion forums and try out some new ideas.  The course is run online over the course of one week, so you can participate when it’s convenient to you.

One week online course, requiring approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour per day.

What will I get out of this course? 

On completion of this course you will:

  • Be able to find your way around the Blackboard Discussion Board and read and reply to messages efficiently.
  • Be able to create new forums and threads.
  • Learn how to use the Group Discussion Boards.
  • Have an appreciation of how discussion forums can be used and how to get the most from your discussion forum.
  • Be able to identify some alternatives to discussion forums.

Suitable for all staff.
