The Intrepid Researcher

This is a series of research methods/methodologies seminars designed as methodology taster sessions, experts (both from within the university and outside) provided an overview of a particular research method or methodology, example(s) of its application, the benefits of using that methodology and its drawbacks or limitations.

The seminar series is open to all academics and PhD research students across the university.  It is hoped that these seminars will encourage researchers to explore and engage with new methods and methodologies, and create an environment for more inter- and multi-disciplinary research.

The Intrepid Researcher 2011-2012

The programme is still evolving and suggestions for speakers can be sent to Dr Meera Warrier (mw189@le.ac.uk)

All seminars will be held in the afternoon for 2 hours from 3.00pm until 5.00pm.  During the seminars the experts will speak for an hour followed by time for questions and discussion.  This is also an opportunity to meet the speaker informally over tea and cakes at the end.
