Course Overview

This course is designed for anyone who has responsibility in their role, or an interest in, the safe packaging and transportation of biological materials, dry ice or liquid nitrogen.

What will I get out of this course? 

The course will cover:

  1. Shipping class 6 division 6.2 dangerous goods, biological substances, GMOs and dry ice. 
  2. Specimen classification and identification through to packing, marking and labelling, to cover:
        • Category A infectious substances
        • Category B infectious substances
        • Non-infectious biological substances
        • Exempt human and animal specimens
        • Genetically modified organisms
        • Dry ice
        • Dry and wet liquid nitrogen
        • Excepted quantities
Who is it for?

This course is for those employees who have responsibility for/interest in the packaging and transport of biological material, dry ice and liquid nitrogen.
