Naomi Irvine leads the development and delivery of professional development for research staff in the University. Naomi delivers workshops on the 'Skills for the Professional Researcher' programme and is Convenor of the 'Enhancing Research Practice' programme. She provides advice and support to Colleges and Departments on new initiatives and policy developments affecting research staff development.  She has research interests in career development and employability of researchers.   

Naomi completed her PhD in German literature in 2005.  She has worked in higher education in research, professional development and business development capacities since then, and has teaching experience in adult, undergraduate and postgraduate education.
