International Students in Financial Hardship
As an international student you will have been required by the Immigration Rules when you applied for entry clearance to have funds to cover the full costs of your course, including tuition fees and living costs. However, we understand that some students find themselves in difficulties due to unexpected events or circumstances beyond their control once they are in the UK.
The help that you may be able to get from the Student Welfare Service will depend on:
- The cause of your financial problem
- How much money you need
- How long you will need help for
- What the money is needed for
If you are an international student and find yourself in financial hardship, we recommend that you come to the Student Welfare Office and book an appointment with one of the International Student Advisers to discuss these issues.
