Visa Information for Course D Students

Checking your visa

There are new immigration laws for studying in the UK. These new laws mean that we will not be able to register you for Course D if you have the wrong visa:

What you need to do

‘Student’

Before 31 March 2009

Nothing

‘Tier 4 General Student’

31 March 2009 to 4 October 2009

If your visa does not have the number JTV8BV799 on it, email intwelfare@le.ac.uk with the subject/title ‘JTV email’

‘Tier 4 General Student’

On or after 5 October 2009

If your visa does not have the number JTV8BV799 on it, email intwelfare@le.ac.uk with the subject/title ‘JTV apply’

‘C Visit Student’ (Student Visitor)

Any

welfare@le.ac.uk so that we can check your immigration status for you.

If any of this information is different on your Identity Card (ICFN), please email intwelfare@le.ac.uk

If there is a number here, it must be:
JTV8BV799
(This is the University of Leicester Sponsor Licence Number)

This may say:

  • TIER 4 (GENERAL)STUDENT
  • STUDENT
  • C – VISIT STUDENT

If there is a number here, it must be:
JTV8BV799
(This is the University of Leicester Sponsor Licence Number)
