The University administers a hardship fund called the Access to Learning Fund. It is means-tested support intended to assist students who have insufficient income to meet their essential expenditure, or who experience a significant change in circumstances which causes hardship. It can be used to assist before your baby is born if no other funds are available, for example if your student funding is suspended or you have additional costs which arise as a result of the pregnancy. You can also apply to the fund for assistance after the baby is born. Contact a Student Finance Adviser for further advice.
Full eligibility criteria and information about the application process is on the Student Welfare Service website.
