Council Tax
Council Tax is a tax set by local councils to help pay for local services. There is one council tax bill for each dwelling; whether it is a house, bungalow, halls of residence, houseboat etc and whether it is owned or rented. The amount of Council Tax depends on which valuation band your house is in. The lower the value of your house, the less you will pay. Check your Council Tax band
