Julie Borszowski

Julie has several administrative roles within the Student Welfare Servicec.

She works closely with Christine Dovey assisting with the administration of The Access to Learning Fund and other hardship funds.  She is responsible for the Student Welfare Service budgets and accounts.

Julie takes a lead responsibility in supporting / monitoring under-18-year-old students, establishing regular contact with this group of students, obtaining regular reports from Residential Advisers, liaising with academic departments, and carrying out individual casework.  She has completed NSPCC 'Designated Officer' training to equip her for this role.

Julie also works closely with International Student Advisers, providing administrative support in this area.   She works closely with the Nationality Department at Leicestershire Constabulary over Police Registration for international students.  Julie takes a keen interest in international students and is closely involved with organisation of the International Students' Welcome Programme and other welcome events.

Julie has worked in the Student Welfare Service since 2000.  She also worked with National Westminster bank where she was a Student Banking Adviser at the Nat West University branch for many years.
