Gill is responsible for the overall co-ordination of healthcare information and services for students.
After qualifying as a nurse in 1985 Gill worked in the Surgical Services Directorate at the Leicester General Hospital (now part of University Hospitals Leicester). During this time Gill worked as Clinical Nurse Specialist (stoma care), Ward Sister and Clinical Educator. In 2003 Gill moved to the University of Leicester to manage the Hugh Binnie Student Sick Bay. When the sick bay closed (June 2008) Gill was able to transfer her knowledge and experience into the new Healthy Living Service.
