Support for students with Specific Learning Difficulties
There are over 500 students with dyslexia or other specific learning difficulties enrolled on courses at the University of Leicester. There are a number of services available to support students in their studies, and many dyslexic students use the AccessAbility Centre on a regular basis.
If you know that you have a specific learning difficulty and have been assessed , then we would encourage you to come into the AccessAbility Centre to discuss your support requirements and to find out about the support available to you. Please make an appointment and bring a copy of your dyslexia assessment report with you.
Through the AccessAbility Centre, students with specific learning difficulties can arrange:
- Extra time in exams
- An assessed work cover sheet
- Library support
- One to one study skills advice
- Disabled Students' Allowance applications
- Dyslexia assessments
