Ultimate Frisbee is a self-refereed, non-contact game in which two teams attempt to score by catching the disk in the opposition’s endzone. It is a fast, athletic sport that is played indoors and outdoors.
Competition
The University season peaks at regional and national tournaments, along with our very own University of Leicester international tournament and an Italian beach tournament.
We have competitive men’s, mixed and women’s teams and in 2011 our open team finished 6th in division 2 at nationals and are looking to finish even higher this year.
Social
Previous Social Sec Rob says 'Ultimate Frisbee is an amazingly social game, even more so at university level. Jesters have become notorious for their good spirit over the years in the University and the Ultimate community. So come and join the fun and experience the most inclusive, social and enjoyable sport in the world’. It really is the case that if you go anywhere in the world, you can pick up a game with a local team.
