Rowing has a great tradition of being a major university sport, one you may not be able to experience usually. We are a large, friendly club of men and women of all abilities and new members, so you will feel instantly at home. Learning to row is a brilliant way of trying something new, improving your fitness and enjoying our fantastic club atmosphere. Whatever your ambitions, we cater for all.
Whilst learning to row, you will be training at Leicester City Rowing Club. The whole club comes together twice a week at circuit training. Senior squad training is mainly in Nottingham at the National Water Sports Centre and on the River Trent. Seniors are expected to be committed, with up to 12 training sessions a week on water and land.
Varsity
The experience of rowing and of course winning Varsity is a great part of university life which is not to be missed.
Competition
Or perhaps you plan on something more serious andwish to represent your university at the many competitions we enter?
Social
Along with the training we also have a large social calendar which includes rowing related trips.
