Members

The Leicester University Kayaking Society (LUKS) is in its first year as a sports society, but has been a recreational society for the past two years. We cater for all abilities, from complete beginners to qualified coaches and even those who fancy kayaking at a competitive level.

Coaching

We have sessions on Wednesday afternoons at facilities in Leicester with qualified British Canoe Union (BCU) coaches. They run the sessions and ensure you will reach a comfortable level of paddling. Star Awards are also available offering qualifications in kayaking ability and coaching.

Social

Whether it’s exhilarating white water, exciting play-boating or a relaxing flat water paddle; we have activities to suit everyone! All this and great socials is the reason we were awarded the Most Improved Society of the Year by the Students Union in 2010.
