Coaching

Ladies’ hockey is a well-established, successful and exciting club, offering its members many sporting and social opportunities. We train once a week with two qualified coaches at the University sports centre on Manor Road, where we also play our home games.

Competition

There are two teams entered in the BUCS Leagues, with fixtures each Wednesday against a number of different universities. We also enter a team into the Leicestershire League, which runs fixtures each Saturday against many clubs throughout Leicestershire.

Social

Hockey is one of the most social sports within the University. We have socials every week, which are usually fancy dress and frequently combine with other sports clubs. Each year we go on tour to Europe, which is always guaranteed to be the most memorable week of your
university life!

At the end of the year we host the annual ball, with the men’s and mixed clubs, to celebrate the passing season.
