Members
The Leicester Longhorns American Football Team is a strong sporting and social community. The team has 40+ members year-on-year and is always looking to bring in new faces to strengthen the team.
Coaches/Competition
A strong team of coaches are on hand to prepare new and experienced players for the demands of the season; there are opportunities for anyone interested in getting into Gridiron within the team, regardless of previous experience. Who knows, you could be the next Longhorns’ alumni to go on to national or international success!
The team has a strong history of team and individual success – twice being conference champions and graduating players to national senior league success and the NFL. The British Universities’ American Football League is highly competitive and the Longhorns train and work hard to succeed in this league.
Social
The team also has a strong social calendar and links to other societies – including the Leicester Panthers Cheerleading Society – which means that there’s plenty of opportunity to enjoy offfield activities.
