Receiving a certificate
If you attend graduation, your degree certificate will be presented to you at your ceremony.
If you do not attend graduation, your certificate will be posted to the address that you gave us when you completed the "Certificates and Graduation" link within the study tab of MyStudentRecord. Please note: if we do not have an up to date address, we will be unable to post your certificate.
Documents are sent via Royal Mail Recorded Delivery or International Signed For Delivery. A tracking number will be provided to you once your certificates have been sent. Students graduating in January 2017 can order DHL delivery via our online shop. Orders should be made before 6 January 2017.
For students due to graduate in January 2017: you will be invited to complete this information in November 2016.
If you are subsequently not available at that address to receive your certificate, we cannot issue another. You will need to wait until your postal service return the certificate to us; at which point we will arrange for it to be posted to your new address.
If your certificate is lost you may be asked to pay for a replacement.

If you were expecting your certificate to be posted but you have not received it please contact Registry (email@example.com).
Certificates are only replaced where the original has been lost or destroyed. When applying for a certificate you must give the reason why you require a replacement.
Full transcripts will be available for 10 years from completion of your studies. Confirmation of your degree title and classification will be available indefinitely.
Certified copies of certificates
Certified copies of your certificate can be used to apply for a job or university course where you do not want to send your original document.
If you want a certified copy of your degree certificate you need to:
- Bring your certificate to the Student Services Centre (view campus map) and state the number of certified copies required and the address you would like the copies posted to.
- Post/Email high quality photocopies of your original certificate to the Student Services Centre stating how many copies you require. Remember to include your student ID and the address you would like the copies to be posted to.
