Working Groups

SEEG has working groups, which undertake work on a continuing basis on the Group's behalf. Each working group focuses on a particular topic of high importance to the student experience.

Task and finish groups

SEEG also establishes task and finish groups when required. These are devoted to a time-limited and specific task connected with an aspect of the student experience. Past examples include: the group that developed the Code of Practice for Personal Support for Students; the group that produced the current Code of Practice on the Work of Student Staff Committees; the group that led a pilot for Student Mentor Schemes.

Student membership

SEEG is committed to involving students in its mission to enhance the student experience. The Academic Affairs Officer of the Students' Union is an ex-officio member of the Group and additional student members, nominated by the Students' Union, may also attend. SEEG's task and finish groups, in particular, include several students in their membership. Typically the student members are course representatives. They are recognised as making an essential contribution to the groups' work.
