Teaching Partnership Awards for Students (TPA)
The University appreciates that many students teach and undertake activities to support learning. The Teaching Partnership Award recognises excellent contributions made by students to the enhancement of the student learning experience.
See www.le.ac.uk/tpa for full details about the award scheme
National Teaching Fellowship Scheme (NTFS)
Details about the National Teaching Fellowship Scheme:
- Eligibility and Process (on the Higher Education Academy website)
- Internal consideration process (This will take place next in 2014)
The National Teaching Fellowship Scheme is a prestigious national award with accolade for both the National Teaching Fellow and the University. The awards are made by the Higher Education Academy (HEA). National Teaching Fellows have demonstrated sustained excellence at national and international level.
Eligible institutions can nominate up to three individuals each year. The University uses an internal application process, conducted by a panel of SEEG, to decide who it will support in submitting an application to the HEA. Potential applicants are normally approached individually and encouraged to apply after being identified by members of the Panel, senior staff within the colleges or Heads of Department.
If you have been identified as a potential applicant and would like to be considered by the internal panel, you should submit your Case for a Fellowship and CV (each prepared to the HEA's requirements) to the Panel Secretary (Kate Galloway klep2@le.ac.uk) by the internal deadline. Successful applicants will receive support from the Panel in enhancing their application prior to its submission to the HEA.
The internal submission deadline for the 2013 National Teaching Fellowship Scheme has now passed. Details of the 2014 internal consideration process will be announced in due course. The HEA typically opens the application process in late December/early January.
