Receiving your Loan

Student Finance England will write to you to confirm your funding entitlements for the current academic year. At the same time they will notify the University that you will be receiving payments.

Payment of your student loan will be triggered when you have registered online with the University for the current academic year and we confirm to the Student Loans Company that you have started your course.

Your first maintenance payment will be paid into your account by BACS transfer. This will take four working days after your attendance has been confirmed.

To ensure you receive your first instalment on the first day of term, please register for your course at least five days before the start of the academic year.

If you have registered with the University and your loan has not been paid into your bank account, please contact the Registry for advice on how to proceed.
