Fees and Finance
In these pages you will find information about some funding options for current students of the University of Leicester. Information about paying your fees can be found on the Finance Office website.
You must pay tuition fees for each year you attend your University course. This fee will increase annually in line with inflation.
Full-time undergraduate students who are resident in the UK can apply for loans from the Student Loans Company to help cover the cost of tuition or living expenses.
The University of Leicester participates in the US Department of Education’s Direct Loans programme. Eligible US students are able to access federally-subsidised Stafford and PLUS loans to help finance their studies with us.
If you are a Canadian student you may be eligible for a loan to cover the cost of your tuition fees.
Continuing full-time undergraduate students, who began their studies before the 2012/13 academic year, and who are resident in the UK and eligible for student funding may be eligible for a non-repayable cash award in the form of bursaries. Students commencing their studies from September 2013 will be eligible for a new package of financial support. Further information can be found on our Study with us pages.
Full-time campus based students may be eligible for a Council Tax exemption or reduction.
Eligible undergraduates students are invited to apply for a travelling scholarship to fund travel for academic purposes during the Easter or Summer vacation.
