This workshop explores the value and use of research questions and outlines some simple techniques to fine-tune and then evaluate your questions. Throughout there will be hands-on practice in refining/reformulating them.

Key Learning Outcomes

At the end of the workshop you will be able to:

  • Critically examine your own research questions;
  • Address how relevant, achievable and clear they are;
  • Refine it and break down the questions and check the assumptions underpinning them.

Pre-session work required

Participants should bring along the research questions they are currently working with their thesis.
