Residential and Commercial Services (RACS) is dedicated to providing quality services and facilities which are responsive to the needs of our customers. Below are some of the services we offer.

Residential Services

Accommodation –we offer a variety of accommodation types, locations and prices split between Oadby Student Village and City Living sites. Accommodation is available for both students and guests of the University, as well as for residential conferences. Our accommodation team are available to help you every step of the way from your initial enquiry till the end of your stay.

Facilities – our facilities team work within the residential buildings to ensure that you stay with us is both comfortable and enjoyable. The team cover all housekeeping, maintenance, security and pastoral support issues and ensure that there is always a member of staff available to assist you 24/7.

Commercial Services

Bookshop – the Bookshop team manage branches in the University of Leicester, De Montfort University and Northampton University. On sale are a range of academic texts, fiction, stationery and branded gifts and clothing. Many items from the University of Leicester branch are also available online at shop@le.

Catering and Hospitality – as well as seven outlets on the main site, the Catering and Hospitality team also oversee outlets in the Maurice Shock Building, the School of Education, Embrace Arts, the Henry Wellcome Building and Oadby Student Village. We also provide food in catered residences in Oadby Student Village and offer a delivery service for meetings and events.

Conferences – our dedicated conferencing and events team offer a variety of conference packages from short meetings to residential conferences and conventions. Choose from a variety of venues, catering options and additional features and our team will assist you with as much or as little help as you need. Delegate registration is also available online via shop@le.

Print Services – the University’s print team offer a highly competitive service with flexible design, print, copy and binding services for everything from dissertation binding to wedding invitations. The service is open to students, staff and members of the general public.

shop@le – the University’s online shop offers a fast, secure and accessible payment option for a huge range of products, services and conferences. Order bedding, kitchen and bathroom packs that are waiting for you on arrival, purchase course essentials or register for conferences all in one easy to navigate area.
