Document printing and/or binding
Our binding service is ideal for theses and any other document which is too thick for staples or for which binding is desirable. You can bring your printed document to us or supply us with a PDF version of it and we will print it for you too.
Printing price varies according to number of pages. Binding is charged according to type of binding required. See below for prices and delivery timescales. Please note, if you wish us to both print and bind your document/thesis, allow two days (five days for hardcover binding).
Payment
We accept cash, cheque or online payments. If you are university staff and cannot pay by cash or cheque, contact your departmental administrator to arrange payment. For online payments, please contact Ian Hickman on printservices@le.ac.uk.

- Delivery to department or to the Graduate Office at no extra cost.
- Postage to UK address is £5 per volume.

- Prices based on printing single-sided, in black, on white 80gsm paper, including a front cover and back cover. For choice of binding, if desired, see below
- Colour printing of any page featuring diagrams, artwork etc is available at 25p per page. Any such pages must be clearly identified by page number in your covering e-mail or letter when you supply your PDF to us. Allow two working days for printing and binding, except for hard binding, which requires five working days.

For documents which are too thick for staples (sometimes called 'saddle stitch'), or for which binding is desired, we offer four different types of binding: hardcover, perfect bound, spiral and wiro.

The maximum number of characters for the title on hard case binding is 80 including spaces.** Gold blocking on the spine is included in the costs. Any additional gold blocking, i.e. the front is a further £10.00 volume. All hard case binding ia a 5 working day service. Maximum number of pages is 500.
**For Museum Studies, it is a maximum of 40 characters for the title including spaces.
