Leicester Conferences at the University of Leicester was delighted to welcome back the TOGs (Terry's Old Geezers or Gals) for their annual convention.
The 2012 event marks the eighth time it has been held at the University. The 'Togmeister' himself, Sir Terry Wogan once again paid a very welcome visit to what has become a very loyal fan club.
The TOGs gather annually in support and celebration of their highly successful Children in Need charity fund raising activities.
In 2010 Sir Terry paid a visit to the University for a very different reason when he received an Honorary Doctor of Laws Degree. Speaking on this occasion he said "I would like to have been a student here - it looks like a really nice campus. I am not being sycophantic, but the University of Leicester has a very good reputation. I am deeply honoured to have been offered an Honorary Doctor of Laws. I will, of course, now demand a certain amount of respect".
Trevor Miller, Conference Sales and Marketing Manager at the University of Leicester, said: "It was fantastic to welcome back the TOG's and Sir Terry Wogan once again to the TOGs annual convention. This event is all about celebrating the marvellous work the TOGs achieve during the year and having a lot of fun in the process which always makes it very memorable for our staff."
