Organisational Development

We are a small newly-formed team within the Human Resources division, dedicated to building our University’s future capability and to the development of the skills and knowledge of all our colleagues.

We're here to enable our University's Strategic Plan by developing the organisation and its culture, building leadership capability and developing personal effectiveness.

We are dedicated to ensuring that the University of Leicester is a truly great place to work, a place in which we are all encouraged and supported to flourish and where each of us can make the most of our potential.

Our objectives are:

  • A refreshed approach to appraisal which we are calling Performance Development Discussion (or PDD) to help ensure that all of us have a clear line of sight between our University’s Strategic Plan and our personal work objectives.
  • A leadership framework and leadership interventions that will help ensure that we are equipped to nurture people and bring out the best in them.
  • Development of our culture through coaching. This will help develop our creativity, resilience and problem-solving skills.
  • Working with our colleagues in the Equality and Diversity team to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to make the most of their talents.

We have developed some interventions to support these objectives and will be adding to them over the coming months.

If you can’t find what you are looking for please get in touch. All members of Organisational Development are here to help you and we look forward to hearing from you.
