Gathering data/evidence of outreach work undertaken

The University would like to collect information about all outreach events undertaken by any department across the University (not just those undertaken by the central Student Recruitment Team) which involves outreach to schools and interaction with young people, or interaction with members of the public who may be potential students through community engagement.

This includes any work carried out with schools and colleges, including visits (either in campus or off campus), school conferences etc.

This information is collated and reported on at the end of each academic year, with the information being made available through:

  • Colleges
  • Student Recruitment and Admissions Committee
  • Widening Participation Group
  • School and Colleges Services Advisory Group

Information can also be requested on an ad-hoc basis by those in the University with an interest.

We have put together some guidance for departments regarding the data/evidence that could be gathered and provided for this purpose. Split into three clear sections, these steps outline the process that is carried out for all outreach activities devliered by the central team.

If you have any questions, please contact our office on ext. 2674 or study@le.ac.uk).
