Enquiries management

The University's Enquiries Management System underpins our student recruitment activities and collates market intelligence that is vital to marketing planning. It allows us to capture course enquiries from prospective students and to fulfil literature requests.

Capturing enquiries

Requests for prospectuses/course literature are made through online forms. We also capture enquiries made by telephone or e-mail directly to the Enquiries Team or a department or division within the University.

Responding to enquiries

A personalised and customised letter goes out in a professional looking pack to prospective students within 24 hours of the request being made. There is a small team which oversees the central enquiry pack and dispatch operation. We hold a supply of all course brochures/prospectuses and the central team also respond to questions from enquirers. 

The importance of enquiry capture 

By capturing enquiries we can start to build a relationship with prospects - it is this CRM activity that converts enquirers into students. Fundamentally the Enquiries System provides an excellent customer service to prospective students by dealing with literature requests and questions through a professional and efficient process. This good customer service lays the foundations for building a relationship with our prospective students.

As part of the MyLeicester project all UG and PGT campus based enquirers are also encouraged to sign up for a personalised web portal after making a prospectus request. The web portal provides prospective students with personalised information about studying with us. It also provides important data intelligence about our markets, about advertising and promotional activity, and allows customer relationship management activity to happen.

Entering enquiries onto the system

If a prospective student makes an enquiry to you about a subject or programme then you can enter this request onto the system via the internal webform. We can then take care of the mailing-out of literature and follow-up CRM activity.

The internal webform is for staff use only. Please do not direct external enquiries to this form.

Adding a course to the Enquiries Management System

It is essential to get newly launched courses onto the Enquiries System so that you can start to recruit to your new course.
