Communications

The Communications Team is responsible for both internal communications (to staff and students) and external communications (to audiences outside the University). These two areas may overlap.

Print (including prospectus)

As well as the Undergraduate Prospectus and the Postgraduate Prospectus, we are responsible for overseeing other printed materials including brochures, leaflets and posters.

Web communications

We have overall strategic responsibility for the content of all University websites and for the effective use of the web to communicate to staff, students and external audiences. Any development of new websites for projects, research centres, conferences etc must be co-ordinated through the Webteam, which is part of the Marketing Communications Office (not IT Services).

Social media

We are responsible for managing the way that the University and its constituent parts are represented on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, as well as student blogs and staff blogs.

Advertising

The University books all print and online advertising through an advertising agency.

News and Announcements

The Marketing Communications Team is no longer responsible for the Staffr/Student Announcements or Newsblog. Specific news stories or announcements should be directed to the Press Office via yournews@le.ac.uk.
