What we provide

A comprehensive range of AV equipment is available for short term loan from AVS to assist your teaching and learning requirements. This includes:

• Portable digital audio recorders
• MiniDV camcorders
• Display boards
• Easels
• DVD/VHS players/recorders
• Staging
• OHPs
• 35mm slide projectors
• Screens
• Tripods
• Visualiser/document camera

This equipment is usually collected from and returned to the AVS reception, although some equipment can be delivered.

What you can expect

Well maintained high quality equipment that is available at the time agreed. The equipment listed is offered subject to availability. Charges may be applied for late return of equipment. Loss and damages will be charged at current list prices.

What we expect

Loan equipment is to be booked in advance giving us 24 hours' notice of requirements. Equipment should be returned on time with all the components present and in the same condition they were issued in.

Service charges

Most loan equipment supplied for University of Leicester teaching support is free of charge (excluding consumables).
For external conference equipment charges please contact AVS or the Conference Office

Details of Operator/technician charges for external and conference events can be found in the AVS Charges PDF document.

These charges are also applicable for out of hours internal events that require an operator/technician to attend.

Equipment will be delivered free of charge to university premises where appropriate but some items need to be collected from AVS reception. There will be delivery/collection charges to non-university venues as follows:
Within a five-mile radius of main campus  £5.00
For each additional mile    40p
