Calendar
What we provide
We provide a calendar/diary service as part of our Microsoft Exchange 2007 email service. This service is available to all staff and students of the University and allows you to schedule appointments, book meetings, check free/busy times and share your diary with other people.
What you can expect
From a campus-based Open Access PC or private client (staff PC), you would normally access your calendar via an email client such as Outlook 2008. From off campus you would normally access your calendar via Outlook Web Access.
What we expect
We expect you to ensure that any device you use to access the calendar service is secure, free from viruses and patched up-to-date. The easiest way to achieve this is to use a computer on our managed desktop service, CFS, where possible. We expect you to set an appropriate password and to keep your password safe to prevent unauthorised access to your account.
Service availability
This service is normally available 24/7, but is only supported during working hours. The service is 'at risk' during service at risk times Tuesday morning 7.00am until 9.00am and Thursday evenings 6.30pm until 10.30pm but you will receive advance notice of work during these times likely to affect this service.
Service charges
This is a core service and there is no charge.
